Meet Paul McDermott
Paul is a globally published photographer with 20+ years in the industry. Having bridged the gap from film into the digital era, he has seen it all and worked in numerous modalities of photography. His unique ability to photograph everything with confidence is because of his simplified approach to image making. Since 2023 he has been instructing photography with amazing results and seen immense growth in his students.
While mentoring students, Paul discovered that most of what he invested his life into mastering within photography is no longer relevant. Todays tools and technology have streamlined the complicated math and technical knowledge of using a camera. Now photographers can focus more on technique and their approach to image creation.
Paul's practice based approach supports participants in understanding for themselves through experience what works, doesn't work, and how to improve their image making approach to create their desired results.
